Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History
The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, established in 1905, holds the distinction of being the first museum in Santa Cruz. Its origins trace back to the personal collection of Laura Hecox, a lighthouse keeper and dedicated naturalist. Today, the museum operates as a nonprofit organization and continues to honor its legacy by serving as a hub for environmental education and community engagement.

What We Did
- Web Design
- Web Development
- Custom Graphics

An off-the-shelf template was no longer a reliable, long-term solution, and everything was done to meet with the custom, strategic backbone that met intentional goals, rather then trying to bend the brand into something that was no in relation to the results they were looking to achieve. The end product better supports their on-going campaign & fundraising goals.

Always Something Happening
The Museum is a lively, dynamic space, with fun, engaging, locally-focused activities happening all the time. We ake sure that listings were easy to peruse, making it simple to find something fun and educational for the whole family.

Going with Flow of Time
Guided by a set of core goals, the museum aims to foster a deep sense of stewardship for the environment while providing enriching, hands-on educational experiences for all ages. It is a space that encourages learning, dialogue, and exploration, while also celebrating the rich diversity of species, cultures, and people. Through partnerships and collaboration, the museum promotes global environmental awareness paired with meaningful local action, all grounded in a strong commitment to ethics, integrity, and mutual respect.
