Makey Makey

Makey Makey's far more than a toy, it's where today's digitally-fueled world meets the physical. It's fun, it's educational, and to put it succinctly it's an invention kit for the 21st century. From the moment they gave us a demo, we were super excited about getting involved.

Going Bananas

After a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign for their flagship product, Makey Makey Classic, things moved quickly for Joylabz, the company behind the magic. As a result, their existing web presence was a patchwork of separate platforms under different domains with a myriad of loose ends. They sought our help to give the brand a fun, educational, and streamlined presence.

Meet Your Maker

Sure, a quick and easy customer journey that converts is always important, but we set out to balance it with the people and the mission behind the brand. The product pages are easy to digest with product videos front and center while the company's story, inspiration galleries, and educational resources are always at arm's length.

Photography

With no shortage of colored wires, Makey's products are a challenge when it comes to capturing them behind the lens. We hunkered down in the studio to get it right for the new site. Not your average product shoot, it was super fun plugging wires into playdough and bananas, in addition to rounding up a few kids to show how it works. And yeah, we ate those donuts. Wouldn't you?
