Rise Records

Since 1991, Rise has been releasing some of the very best records in the rock, punk, and indie scenes. From legendary acts like Angels and Airwaves, Hot Water Music, and At the Drive-in, to contemporary juggernauts like Dance Gavin Dance and Crown the Empire, Rise is always taking things to the next level. To put it simply: they’re the label to beat.

Redesign. Replatform.

Now a subsidiary of BMG, we’ve been working with Rise for years and were super excited to give their site a long-overdue refresh. The site we originally built for them was backed by a custom CMS and relied on a link to a third party service for selling their merch online. This time around, we wrapped everything up all under the Shopify hood. This not only gives them a great way to market their artists, but also to sell their releases and merchandise directly.

Volume? 11.

Super clean. Super interactive. Super immersive. Rise has released a ton of albums over the years, and their roster of artists is huge. Everything needed to be easy to find and digest. Whether you’re looking for the minute details of a specific release or purchasing their latest limited edition merch bundle, you’re good to go, and fast.

Rise Above

(If you aren’t in the know, that’s a pretty good Black Flag song). The old Rise site was built before the responsive era, so it just wasn’t cutting it when it came to mobile. With the vast majority of their fans on mobile, we went all in on a mobile-first experience.
